    Mystery paddlers

I've been scanning some of my parents' photo albums and in amongst some B&W shots of my great grandparents etc. there were these. No idea what ships in the first 3 are if anybody recognises them? The first 3 shots are probably from the 1920s or 30s. The last is the MV Villandry registered in Dieppe transiting Tower Bridge, probably photographed in the late 1960s; she's a SNCF car ferry, god knows what she was doing up the Thames.

Cheers for that; I'll try rescanning at a higher resolution as it was just a quicky to work through the pile of prints.

Another pair of mystery paddlers(fb); at first glance I thought it was Waverley aground being tugged by Kylemore, but this is chronologically impossible and the grounded paddler appears to have one funnel anyway. I'm stumped!

    Marchioness of Lorne ?

The other one might be Queen-Empress as a guess without looking any books up !

I think you've got it! The Marchioness could have been a regular visitor to Kilcreggan on the Holy Loch run, maybe the Queen Empress has been dragged out of winter lay-up to act as a tug as her saloon windows have shutters over them?

Another one for the identity parade, a NB paddler heading northwards through Rhu narrows; perhaps Lucy Ashton or Dandie Dinmont?

Another mystery paddler; I've drawn a blank from google and my small reference library, anyone care to have a stab at the identity?

The Benmore in her two funnel days.

It must have been bad enough trying to see past one funnel never mind two!
