    MV Saturn - any news?

    Hi all,

Any news on the status of the Saturn? Haven't really heard anything about her in nine months and I couldn't find any news online.

Thanks for an update on her status/location.

    Regards,

    Iain.

    SATURN.

    Hi,

Location of Saturn remains the inside berth of the pier at Rosneath, and she has been off charter from Calmac for about 8 months now. All passenger certificates have now expired and cannot be renewed unless a large dry docking were to take place. She's beginning to look a little run down now and the beach where Juno ended her days is now clear...

The pictures were taken on Monday June 4th at Rosneath, I hope they help.

    AC.

She is obviously doomed.... and thoughts of preservation as a revamped cruise vessel will probably re-surface once she is in the re-cycling bin. Not a lot changes

A bit worrying seeing the Isle of Arran there too now (another of my favourite Calmac boats). Please don't tell me that Calmac are getting shot of that too .......
