That's how I remember her. I haven't seen the recent work in the flesh yet though I'm not looking forward to it. While I appreciate the reasons behind them, I feel that the additions could have been designed with more panache, sympathy and flair. We have a glorious shipbuilding heritage and we're better than what the Sir Walter Scott ended up with.

Its pretty grim. I get why they feel insidde accomodation is required but surely if you are that desperate to be inside the motor vessel is availiable now that you can pollute the loch as much as you want.

I doubt that many people arrive at Trossachs with a particular ship in mind - just a convenient departure / return time

Those that arrive when there is a "sub-standard" ship on roster and get blown away / drenched will be mighty brassed off !

My last trip on SWS was accompanied by a bit of light wind and rain - and it wasn't too pleasant outside for most people

Top coats or cosy comfort ? The picture windows on SWS are excellent

Holy good gravy; that's a nasty offence against naval architecture. Did they get Stevie Wonder in to do it? It's like an MFI wardrobe in Buck House.

There may well be a strong requirement for a deck saloon, but that's just egregiously ugly. I cannot believe any half-decent marine architect couldn't come up with something that achieved the necessary inside space without offending the eyes so.
