To save money should the boats be run by a host of Volunteers during the season.

Good luck finding enough volunteers with the qualifications and valid ENG1s to crew either vessel for more than an occasional sortie, never mind a full season's sailing.

There's a very large gap between a maintenance gang and a crew capable of running a passenger vessel.

I think WEL are doing a fine job with their limited resources but few understand this. Its seems all the fanatics just moan constantly how they could do a better job. Honey badger will be sitting in its usual position each day of the season..but u can yous find me to continue these interesting discussions.

I often thought the bridge of a ship was like a pullpit if it wasnt for the funnel.

It can be done - Shieldhall/Schonbrunn and others - but it would be weekend/bank holidays only etc

Perfectly valid business model though - if you can generate enough free cash for maintenance/drydocking
